This slab of redwood originated from a rare coastal Sequoia tree, previously growing only minutes away from the ocean. Sequoia redwood is typically found in the Sierra Mountains, making this tree’s coastal location a rarity. The tree was cut via a special permit to avoid structural damage of the home this tree grew next to (due to it’s enormous root system). We were extremely grateful for the opportunity to transform the tree into slabs, providing it a secondary life as fine furniture.
