“Simon Silver inspects a recent delivery of burn-scarred redwood logs delivered to his sawmill in Corralitos. The wood was salvaged from a property in Boulder Creek that was burned during the 2020 CZU August Lightning Complex. Silver will mill lumber from most of the logs to provide to clients but will save some special pieces for his furniture business. A former professional mountain biker, Silver creates custom furniture in his shop that is in high demand.”
